Formulated for transplanting bare root trees, ball and burlap shrubs and container plants

Down To Earth’s Tree & Shrub mix is enhanced with mycorrhizal fungi to encourage extensive root development and to protect against a variety of plant stresses. Transplant shock, drought and other environmental extremes can negatively impact a young plant’s growth potential, so use our specially designed mix to help ensure survival and promote rapid establishment.

DTE Tree & Shrub can be mixed into soil directly under cuttings, bare root trees, shrubs and vines or blended into potting mixes. The objective is to ensure physical contact between the roots and the inoculated fertilizer.

3 cups ≈ 1 lb; ½ cup ≈ 2.6 oz; 2 ½ tbsp ≈ 1oz

Trees, Shrubs & Vines:
For new plants or transplants, prepare transplant hole and mix 1-3 cups with the backfill soil. Use amended soil to fill in around the new plant and water in well. For mature plants, drill in holes 3-6 inches deep in a grid pattern; use 1-2 tablespoons per hole.

Outdoor Containers:
For new plantings, add 2-4 tbsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR 1-2 cups per cubic foot OR add 5-10 lbs per cubic yard; use higher rates for smaller pots and trays. For established plants, apply 1-2 tbsp per gallon of soil when transplanting.
